The traditional idea about karma is that karma creates bonds. Whatever work we do, it brings result and by result, it binds. But who is the original creator of karma? It is the divine. He is both unmanifest and manifest. Manifestation is the way of expression and karma to His unmanifested being. Creation gets a chance of ananda by birth, growth and realization of this divine truth. Nature does the work with three gunas: Tamas, Rajas and Sattwa. Gita shows the path to liberate human being from lower nature to the higher nature through works. Thus works are not merely a bondage but also a way of liberation.
