TH 77: About Savitri as Spiritual Poetry

In India, the higher spiritual truth is realized and brought down to the level of ordinary life by different ways according to the need and preparation of human consciousness. Satsang, poetry, stories are some of the means to induce the higher truths to the ordinary mind. Most of the higher knowledge what mankind has received throughout the ages has taken the form of poetry. Savitri belongs to that genre of mystic / spiritual poetry that is called mantric in India.  How to read Savitri is also there in Savitri. Though the struggling mind of ours cannot reach at the truths revealed at once, it gets the light and joy. Just reading Savitri opens endless windows of possibility, hope, light and joy and leads us towards the Supramental heights.
