TH 41: Ilion 3: The Assembly

The Trojan war was going on. For long nine years there was no decisive result. Achilles sent his messenger to Troy with the marriage proposal with Priam’s daughter. In between Achilles’ nephew took the armor and head gear of Achilles and went to war. Assuming him as Achilles, Hector of Troy killed him. Till then Achilles did not start the war. But now with anger he went into a rampage and killed lots of soldiers and fear gripped the Trojans for the first time. Now there is a great assembly in Troy and all great warriors including Paris are giving their views towards the future action to be taken. Sri Aurobindo has so beautifully given the words to each character that they become a representative humanity.
