An intellectual curiosity is not enough to open the doors of true knowledge for us. We need a living quest, a thirst and seeking for Truth and Light. The urge to know the meaning of life should be the core of our existence. To have some experience, power, to serve humanity etc does not give sufficient reason to do yoga. Sri Aurobindo’s yoga demands the whole life and its activities so that it can transform them. Out of matter, life has emerged. The more it evolved the more it became complex. This complexity is required to manifest the divine principles more widely and in several layers. According to the increase of complexity, the difficulties grow, but of course then grow the possibilities. Human beings realise these possibilities as they grow conscious of the Divine Presence within.
